What type of material can candidates submit to us?
The type of material that you will receive from candidates will vary depending on how you choose to manage candidates when advertising on Patchwork Hub.
Managing applications externally
If you are handling applications on a platform external to Patchwork Hub or are receiving applications by email, then the material you receive will be up to you.
Managing applications on Patchwork Hub
However, if you are using Patchwork Hub’s candidate management system to handle applications, candidates can submit their CV/resume as part of their application. They will also be invited to submit a supporting statement when they apply for jobs. If you have chosen to include screening questions as part of the application process, candidates will also be required to answer these questions when applying.
Applicants will also have the option when applying to state whether they require any additional adjustments throughout the recruitment process. This may be utilised by disabled candidates or individuals with long-term health conditions to outline any reasonable adjustments they may require to help them thrive in the application process, interview process and beyond.
To support candidates and help them to identify whether any adjustments may be required before applying, we ask that employers provide in their job advert a brief overview of the further stages in the recruitment process (e.g. video interview followed by an on-site assessment). This extra clarity around the full process helps candidates to know if they will require any adjustments.
We also ask that employers’ job adverts include at least one alternative way of getting in touch with the hiring manager (e.g. a phone number or email address) in case candidates are unable to apply through your preferred route and wish to discuss another way of submitting their application.
Finally, all candidates applying for a position on Patchwork Hub itself are required to have a jobseeker profile. Here, you can find more information about the candidates applying for your roles beyond the information listed on their application.
