Since 1995, the Glasgow Centre for Inclusive Living has operated a number of services to support disabled people in Glasgow:
- The GCIL support team provides a wide range of services for disabled people who receive a self-directed support budget.
- GCIL employment services are designed by disabled people, for disabled people. Since our founding we have helped hundreds of disabled people find good, meaningful work.
- GCIL’s payroll team offers a selection of services for our supported people who employ PAs or pay for a care service.
- We offer a programme of Self Directed Support awareness workshops and informal drop-in sessions for supported people and carers on an in-house and outreach basis in Glasgow, East Dunbartonshire and South Lanarkshire.
- We offer advice and information about the housing system within Glasgow and the options for adaptation or finding a new property.
- GCIL’s Take Control teams provide the same Support service as our Glasgow office in East Dunbartonshire, North Lanarkshire and South Lanarkshire.
